Wombee’s Child Safety Policy

Updated: September 2025

At Wombee, the safety of children is non-negotiable. While our app is designed for mothers and caregivers, we understand the real risks of child sexual exploitation online - and we’re committed to keeping our community safe, respectful and compliant with Australian law.

We Do Not Tolerate Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

If you’re here to connect with other mums - wonderful.
If you’re here to exploit children - you’re not welcome.

Wombee has a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and any form of online child exploitation. We act swiftly and decisively when such content is reported or detected.

Our Legal Obligations (Australia)

We comply with all Australian child protection and online safety laws, including:

  •
  • The Online Safety Act 2021

  • Mandatory reporting requirements for CSAM

  • Guidelines set by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner
    (https://www.esafety.gov.au)

We also report CSAM to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation (ACCCE) and eSafety Commissioner, and cooperate with law enforcement where necessary.

What Wombee Does to Protect Children

  •
  • Smart Safeguards:
We monitor app activity using automated systems and human moderation to detect keywords and behaviours linked to CSAM or grooming. While we respect your privacy, safety comes first.

  • In-App Reporting:
Every user can report suspicious content, messages or behaviours in just a few taps. These reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team within 24 hours - often faster.

  • Fast Action:
When CSAM or suspected exploitation is flagged, we:

    • Immediately remove/block the content

    • Lock or permanently ban the account

    • Report the user and material to the ACCCE and eSafety Commissioner

    • Cooperate fully with law enforcement

Your Role in Keeping Wombee Safe

If something feels off, trust your gut.
Whether it’s a message, image, or interaction - we’d rather you over-report than stay silent.

You can email us at support@wombee.com

You won’t get in trouble for reporting something that turns out to be harmless. We’re here to investigate and keep the space safe.
