We are Louise and Elisha; two mummas with seven children between us. Elisha was a primary school teacher for many years and a postpartum doula. I have a background in marketing; food and drinks mainly!
Together we have complementary skills but a shared vision for mamas.
Elisha wanted to positively impact more families than she could manage single-handedly whilst 'mumming' her four children. She realised that there are some incredible mother care professionals out there doing amazing support work but they can be hard to find and the overwhelm as a new mama is very real.
She had the nugget of an idea to create an online space to land as a new mum to feel seen, held and supported. And so the idea for Not Another Onesie was born.
Our Not Another Onesie village is supportive, safe and expert.
Most of the service providers in the village have a lived experience that has led them to do the incredible work that they do. They all have one thing in common; to help mums to recover, restore and thrive in the beautiful chaos of motherhood.
No-one should have to do motherhood alone. Not Another Onesie is an online village of support services for modern day motherhood. We recognised that the village of yesteryear holds great value as you navigate your motherhood journey and with more people living away from families, we wanted to educate mums on the value of gathering your village of support.
Most importantly, we want to make support available to all Mums no matter who or where they are in Australia. Knowing that you are not alone in your journey and sharing your experiences with others, normalises the highs and lows of motherhood..
Motherhood is perfectly imperfect and nothing ever really goes to plan. Each stage is a phase that will pass. Surround yourself with support and remember that it's ok not to be ok.
Not Another Onesie is an online directory and community connecting pregnant and postpartum women with trusted, expert support across Australia. We bring together professionals in mental health, physical recovery, sleep, feeding, nutrition, bodywork, and more, making it easy for mums to find the right help at the right time.
Beyond listings, NAO offers education, resources and conversations that normalise the realities of modern motherhood and ensure no woman navigates pregnancy or postpartum alone. There is no safer space for women to show up as they are.
